Tracy Barill : Superintendent of Pickering Schools

Pickering schools welcome Ronnie, their Racing Against Drugs race character. Ronnie hopes that everyone develops strategies to deal with peer pressure. There are a lot of options out there that are healthy alternatives to using drugs or alcohol. Getting involved in physical activities is one such thing and it keeps our minds and bodies sharp. Ronnie sends the important message to resist peer pressure and be assertive by saying no in situations pertaining to substance use and abuse. Participating in Racing Against Drugs is an exciting way to help develop these skills. See you all at RADD!!!

Hello Grade 5 students!
Randy has been busy at all of our North schools reminding them about the importance of facing tough decisions with confidence. Through your participation in Racing Against drugs, Randy hopes you will find it easier to say no when asked to smoke, do drugs or alcohol. What goes into our bodies can really affect the way we live, think and act. Eating healthy foods, getting active and keeping abusive substances out of our bodies is so important. Good luck and see you all at Iroquois Park in Whitby !
